My Story
Hard work and effort is something my family and I value the most. I am determined to graduate from a 4 year college not only for my family, but also for myself. I believe that I am capable of succeeding no matter the rigor.
Volleyball
Volleyball has taught me the value of determination and sisterhood. I have grown as a person over the years due to my teammates. I have learned to be resilient and persistent even when I fail. I have played with these lovely ladies for 4 years and I have adored every moment of it.
AAMA organization
The Association for the Advancement of Mexican Americans, or AAMA, is an organization that helps the Latino community overcome obstacles such as communication, citizenship, and develop work skills. I volunteered to take care of children, while they're parent/guardian was in class learning.
Youth group
I've attended youth group to help me relieve stress and have a strong support person to go to in my times of struggle. We are able to communicate with others in our community and connect with them. We join together in a prayer to thank God for all of his blessings.
National Honor Society
In tenth grade, I was accepted into NHS due to my high achievements and academics. I hope that this organization will help me maintain a well involved relationship with my community through volunteering.
