My Story

I would describe myself as someone that is creative and outgoing, but I think that my friends would describe me as being funny and courageous. I enjoy dancing, cheerleading, working at Chick-fil-a, taking pictures, and being involved in clubs! I also have two pugs named Tiny Tim and George!

Dance

My Mom decided to put me in dance when I was only two years old, and I am so grateful that she did! Dancing has always been my strongest passion, while giving me a sense of adventure and freedom.

University of NC School of The Arts Summer Dance Intensive

In November 2014 I sent in my audition tape for the Commercial Dance Intensive at UNCSA. I later found out that I was one of 36 selected to attend the program, and that over 200 people auditioned for. While I was there I got to attend classes and seminars to help prepare me for commercial dance.

Distinguished Young Women of Roxboro Scholarship Program

DYW is a program open to senior girls across the country. I took part in Roxboro's program, where I won preliminaries in Fitness, Talent, Interview, Self Expression, and the Be Your Best Self Award. I then placed 2nd runner up(of 27 girls) and I was awarded over 2000 dollars in college scholarships.

Cheerleading and Pom

I have been cheerleading since I was a sixth grader at Roxboro Community School. I tried out for the varsity cheer team during my first year as a high school student, and I made the team. I then went on to be named the captain of varsity cheer and varsity pom, during both my junior and senior years.

Students Against Destructive Decisions

I am a member of SADD at Roxboro Community School. I recently created, scripted, filmed, and edited a video about bullying prevention during my Multimedia class. The video will be shared with our school during the morning announcements to teach others about how bullying can affect people.

Spanish Club

Spanish club provides me with the opportunity to participate in community service activities, as well as the opportunity to travel abroad. In spring 2015, I traveled to Oviedo, Spain and this spring I will be traveling to Madrid, Spain to study Spanish.
