My Story

As a Navy brat, my life has been full of adventures. I've travelled around the world with my family, made wonderful friends, spent three years at a residential high school, and filled my days with music, laughter, learning, and fun. Now, I'm ready for my next adventure: college.

Travels

I've been traveling ever since I was five years old, and my dad joined the Navy. My travels have given me a deeper understanding of, and appreciation for, culture, nature, and history. I intend on spending the rest of my life experiencing as much of the world as I can.

Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts

I applied to LSMSA with the hopes of broadening my mind, but in my three years there I have gained so much more. LSMSA has pushed me beyond my perceived limits personally and academically, and I will graduate a stronger and better person, with phenomenal friends and long-lasting memories.

Music

Music has been a big part of my life since before I can remember. I've played alto saxophone since fifth grade in concert, marching, and jazz bands. I've also taken several years of piano lessons, sung in church choir, and played in the youth worship team.

Student Ambassador and Academic Peer Mentor

I applied to be a student ambassador for LSMSA my sophomore year. As an ambassador I help prospective and new students find their way. I applied to be an Academic Peer Mentor (APM) at the end of my junior year. As an APM I help students who are struggling with the tough academics at LSMSA.

Athletics

I believe in staying physically fit in every way I can. I love running, hiking, skiing, and playing ultimate frisbee.
