Dane Calcagni

My name is Dane Calcagni; I am a college student who has an interest of helping his community, a junior member of my towns environmental committee, founder and president of my high schools key club. I also intern with a variety of politicians. This is only the surface of my involvement.

I intern with assemblyman Dan Benson. I serve as a junior member for my towns environmental committee. I have volunteered for my senator, Cory Booker, for only 2 weeks.

I founded my school's first key club in under 3 weeks.

Me and my friend co-lead our team to do our best. Even if we have never won a match we still have our dignity.

With my new interest in political science I joined these clubs to put my skills into something I would enjoy.

I played sophomore and junior year on the jv team. I stopped due to getting a job and internship.

I spent a week representing my state. I made friends and connections that I will have forever.

I made friends from all over the US and I am still very close with all of them. I learned many things about myself, like that I can connect with anyone I talk to. I also toured DC with all my newly made friends and had the best time of my life.

I joined National Honors Society my senior year. I have kept up with the required hours and most of the times I volunteered more than the required and I always would give other NHS members options for volunteering.
