My Story
Born and raised in India till age of 9, I learned 4 different languages: Gujarati, Hindi, Urdu, and English. One year later, I immigrated to the U.S. Adapting to the culture, food, and social life was the hardest thing I've had to overcome. After 6 years, I'm proud to say that I'm a U.S. citizen.
Basketball
Having played basketball since the seventh grade, I am very experienced in my high school varsity basketball team. Being the captain of the basketball team has helped me develop the skill of leadership. It has also helped me improve my communication skills.
Cross Country
Cross Country is a tough sport that is 10% physical and 90% mental. Being on the Varsity Cross Country team for 2 years has helped me become mental strong and resilient in life itself. It has also made me mentally tough due to the rigorous training and competition that I faced during those 2 years.
Breakthrough Houston (BTH)
Breakthrough is a rigorous all year round program from academically gifted students. BTH has helped me become academically advanced and gain characteristics such as grit, gratitude, and teamwork. Being a part of BTH has brought many life changing opportunities that I wouldn't have had otherwise.
