3D Printing Prosthetic Hands

I began working with a nonprofit, E-nable, my Sophomore year to size, modify, and 3D print different models of prostheses for a teenager in Atlanta named Alex. Since then, I have continued work with E-nable, Alex, and other teenagers which has taught me the importance of human-centered design.

SpaceWorks Aerospace Summer Training & Research Opportunity

Summer before Junior year, I interned at an aerospace company with 4 other interns to design, model, test, and create a technologically and economically feasible business plan for a second-generation space tourism vehicle. I was the lead CAD Engineer, Technical Artist/Illustrator, and TPS Engineer.

CAD Projects

Where I've found my passions of engineering/math overlap with my love of art, is CAD. This has been so helpful in past internships, engineering classes, and just a great hobby to explore. I am proficient in SolidWorks, Autodesk Fusion 360, and Google SketchUp; also 3D printing software.

Study Guide Mission

I have created and designed all-encompassing, comprehensive study guides that organize information in a way that better facilitates learning and note-taking. I incorporate a strong, structural, schematic layout and graphic design into my documents that are shared with my entire class of 2017.

Robotics Team

We may be small, but the robotics team has grown tremendously ever since I helped co-found our first Sumo Robot League my Junior year. We work with 3D printed parts, Arduinos, and some motors to build and program completely autonomous robots that compete against each other and others across Georgia.

Business & Entrepreneurship Club

I joined Business & Entrepreneurship Club my freshman year and it has taught me so much about following my passions and curiosities. Every week, a different business owner speaks to us and we have many field trips around Atlanta including Harvard's Alumni Business Breakfast.

Volunteer Work

I find ways to volunteer in my community both through my school and National Honor Society, but also on my own. I regularly volunteer at Furkids animal shelter (where we eventually adopted our cats), and through my work with prosthetic hands with E-nable.

Volleyball

Beginning in 6th grade, I played both school and club volleyball and it has allowed me to grow trememdously over the years; and I'm playing my fourth and final season of Varsity Volleyball this year. I love being involved in a team where communication is key, as well as dedication and hard work!
