My Story
My name is Grace and I've always wanted to be an interior designer. I enjoy wandering the streets of New York City, finding ideas to incororate in my school projects in both art and CADD. I love spending time with my family and friends and capturing every moment of my life with my camera.
My Artwork
From a young age I've always loved drawing, painting and sketching. I like to try new ways to create art, like experimenting with all types of mediums. I welcome feedback from people so I can improve on my work.
CADD & Architecture Pieces
For the past four years I have taken Architecture, CADD2 and Design Studio, learning how to use computer programs and sketch. In design studio, I am designing a tiny house made from a shipping container. The design will be submitted to the 2016 TSA competition.
Photography
I've always loved taking photos to capture every moment of my life. I like to try photographing from different angles. I also like to edit my photos and play around with the colors, lights and shadows.
St. Paul's Accessibility Project
As a member of my church's vestry, we developed a plan to add an elevator to make the building fully handicap accessible. I worked on the committee to bring the plan to fruition. It's taken 2 year and will be dedicated at this years Christmas service.
Chatham Sailing Team
In just two years the Chatham Sailing Team has grown from 4 to 18 sailors. Traveling an hour and a half twice a week, shows our true commitment to the team. We have competed locally and nationally. I enjoy sailing as a competitive sport with my team but also as a leisure activity with my family.
Youth Group Mission Trip at Lantern Hill-2015
Six of the St. Paul's youth group members traveled to El Zorillo, MX. Throughout the year we raised money which was donated for the program to buy supplies. We spent a week helping put at a non-profit program teaching local kids English, math, Spanish, art and physical activities.
Youth Group Mission Trip at Lantern Hill-2016
We traveled back to El Zorilla for the second time with the St. Paul's Youth Group. For a week we worked at lantern Hill. Teaching the kids Spanish, English math and art. The camp encourages parents to bring kids to the camp by paying them the equivalent of what they'd earn toiling in the fields.
