Isabelle Smith

I am a book, theatre, museum, brunch, nature, and family obsessed gal living in Oakland, California.

When I was 11, my mom took my on my first backpacking trip, and I did not like it. But over the years, it has grown to be an essential part of my life. It is where I am able to think the most deeply, be the most at peace, and be the most grateful for the world.

I have been participating in theatre since I was eight. I love the community that theatre creates. I love that theatre teaches empathy and helps us understand one another.

I love hiking. It has always been an easy way for me to escape my daily life and just be outside for a bit. For some reasons, trees, and flowers, rivers and lakes are immensely comforting to me.

Ucamps is an arts and nature camp in the Santa Cruz Mountains. It has been such a home to me for the past five years. It has allowed me to grow as an artist and a person. It is a place where I can be silly, have fun, and learn. It has been a constant support to me and I am endlessly grateful for it.

I love museums. I love looking at history, science and art. I especially love going with friends.

I love music. I love playing the ukelele (I've been playing for about a year and a half), singing. and going to concerts.
