Margaret Donnelly

Hey! My name is Meg Donnelly and I'm from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Singer. Dancer. Actress. Sister. Volunteer. Blogger. Guitar and Piano Player. AP Student. Writer. Cat Lover. Glitter Aficionado. Adventurer. Iced Coffee Enthusiast.

As a child I had always loved seeing theatre shows, especially musicals, so my sophomore year of high school I got involved in my school's performing arts program, MTPA. I participated in the cast of Anything Goes and Annie, and behind the scenes in You Can't Take It With You and The Great Gatsby.

Since I was in Kindergarten I have been dancing at Lititz Academy of Dance where I study ballet, jazz, lyrical, tap, and modern dance. For me, dance is one of the most important things in my life because it gave me my very first experience on stage and it helps me express feelings and tell a story.

Mini-THONs are smaller versions of Penn State's THON which fundraises money for the Four Diamonds Fund to help fight childhood cancer. I got involved in the Mini-THON organization at my school as a sophomore and since then have been very involved in planning our annual 12 hour event for the kids!

My favorite thing in the whole world is to travel and go on new adventures with friends and family. My dream is to travel the world and experience other cultures. Luckily, I've gotten a pretty good head start on exploring the world. (Check the captions to see where I've been adventuring.)

In the Summer of 2014 I went to Moore, Oklahoma for a mission trip to aid in tornado relief, where we helped to clean up debris in a park and helped to repair houses. Then in Summer 2015 I traveled to South Texas where we built a house with habitat for humanity and worked at a refugee center.

My best friend, Paige and I have always loved to read and discuss books together, so we decided to create a reading blog where we have connected with readers and authors to discuss and review literature. We designed and created the blog and have gained around 5000 followers, check us out @ yadaily!
