My Story

I was born and raised in Saint Louis County, where I live with my parents, my two sisters, and our dog Harry. I attended St. Francis of Assisi from pre-school through 8th grade. I am now a senior at Ursuline Academy. I hope you get to know a little more about me!

National Honors Society

I was inducted into Ursuline Academy's National Honors Society in Fall, 2014. We tutor students for free at Ursuline, as well as Marian Middle School for Girls. We also make meals for the families who stay at Ronald McDonald House.

Yearbook

I have been a member of yearbook during my four years at Ursuline. I served as Editor my Sophomore and Junior year. I currently serve as Editor-in Chief. All four years I have been on staff, we have won the Gallery of Excellence Award from our publisher, Walsworth, for the designs in our book.

Production Stage Manager

Since my Freshman year, I have been a member of the Stage Crew for the plays and musicals. I was offered the position of Production Manager during my Sophomore year, and have continued to serve in this position for every production since then.

Students Against Destructive Decisions (S.A.D.D.) Club

Students Against Destructive Decisions (S.A.D.D.) club works to raise awareness about the effects of making harmful decisions. We often plan assemblies in which speakers talk to the student body about a variety of topics such as: drugs, alcohol, drinking and driving, and texting and driving.

Sisters in Service Club

Sisters in Service club is dedicated to living out the Ursuline motto "Serviam" by serving the community alongside other students from Ursuline Academy. We do service throughout the Saint Louis community by volunteering at various organizations and at Ursuline by helping students and coworkers.

Leadership for Diversity Team

I am a member of Ursuline Academy's Leadership for Diversity Team. We host an annual conference which focuses on a different issue each year, and invite students from high schools around St. Louis to raise awareness about diversity. We also host class diversity days to raise awareness in my school.

Ursuline Academy Ambassador

Ursuline Academy Ambassadors work to promote their school in the best way possible. I was a member of the Junior Ambassadors which give tours to visitors. I was also a Parish Ambassador which meant that I went to grade schools to talk about high school life, and choosing the right school for you.

Kairos Leader

Kairos is a student led retreat for the senior class at Ursuline. Every year, juniors are asked to attend the retreat with the seniors so that they can lead the retreat the next year for their class. I was asked to attend Kairos and plan on leading a retreat in January.

New Orleans Service Trip

St. Bernard Project works throughout the country to rebuild towns that have been affected by natural disaster. I worked in New Orleans to help rebuild a house affected by Hurricane Katrina. We were also able to hear several people tell their story of how the hurricane affected their life.

Joplin Service Trip

Rebuild Joplin is an organization committed to restoring Joplin back to the way it was before the tornado that destroyed the town in 2011. I went with girls from my class at Ursuline to help rebuild a home. We learned how to hang dry wall, and were able to hear stories from survivors of the tornado.

Whole Kids Outreach Service Trip

Whole Kids Outreach is a day camp for kids living in Ellington, Missouri, a town in which most of the citizens live under the poverty line. I volunteered with kids in the 4-5 age groups and spent my days interacting with the kids, and helping the counselors wherever I was needed.
