Hi! I'm Michelle. Balancing Honors and AP courses keep me busy along with my athletics and music. Thankfully, I have a supportive family and church community to help me when life becomes stressful!

It was an honor to be selected as one of the ten homecoming queen candidates. I asked my friend Tim to be my escort and we had a blast dressing up for Spirit week. It was an amazing experience being on court!

I teach the Sunday school class with kids ages 6-8. Every week, we go through a new story from the Bible and do worksheets related to the story. At the end, we memorize a Bible verse and have snack time. I enjoy forming relationships with the kids while teaching them about God's word!

Varsity - 10th, 11th, 12th / Team Captain - 12th / I joined lacrosse my sophomore year and ended up loving! I love traveling all over Missouri and to different states for tournaments. The countless hours I've spent practicing goals and playing catch are worth it when it's with my team!

JLC is a highly selective program focusing on leadership skills for high school juniors in Columbia, MO. We had sessions with different topics such as courage, responsibility, creativity, etc.

I was an intern at the University of Missouri Hospital with a physical therapist who specializes in neurology. This gave me a real world look at what being a physical therapist is like. The internship helped me realize a career in physical therapy would suit me and my personality!

I am currently interning at the Title 1 Preschool. I love being able to play with the kids. It fills me with joy when they call me "Ms. Michelle" or when they ask me to play with them. I love every minute I spend with them! I am considering elementary education as another career option.

Student Morale Captain - 12th / Mini MizzouThon is a high school organization that fundraises for the University of Missouri Women and Children's Hospital. At the annual dance marathon in the spring, we reveal the total amount of money raised. We also get to meet Miracle kids at the dance marathon!

I started working at Wilson's the summer after my sophomore year. The pool opens in May and closes in September each year. I work in the snack shack. I spend most of the work day cleaning the shack and restocking food, but I love it because I get to meet new people.

From running mile repeats to running around Chicago for 2 hours because we got lost, cross country added to my amazing high school experience. I met so many amazing friends and coaches who helped me improve as a runner and a person. Go RBXC!
