Sara Murphy

I'm a leader, athlete, artist, and anything I set my heart on with my extreme determination. I'm a very independent individual, but I am really close to my family and enjoy spending time with them. Going to a boarding school may have separated us geographically but the bonds we have haven't change.

The two weeks I spent in the Dominican Republic last March were eye opening and helped me realize how much I enjoyed community service and giving back. Working with the girls in academic and social situations was amazing and introduced me to the world of educating. I will forever miss the Mariposas.

One activity I really enjoying taking part in is school spirit events. I love Lawrence Academy and really enjoy showing this love to the rest of the community. From going to sporting events to participating in school spirits during the academic day, I always find a way to show my spirit.

I identify as an artist. I have been drawing and painting since I was a child and it is major part of who I am. I've found that doing art helps me to take my mind off of any troubles and is something I'm extremely happy doing. I'm extremely interested in pursing art in college and beyond.

A huge part of my high school career is athletics. I've become extremely close with each team I've been a part of and have learned many leadership and teamwork skills. Each team holds a special place in my heart and even though I'm not playing a sport in college it will forever remain dear to me.
