My Story

Hello! My name is Tiffany Nguyen, & I am a Texas native. In college, I hope to major in finance & pursue a career in dentistry. Others would describe me as intelligent, caring, & determined. Even though I am shy, my voice does not get lost in the classroom because I thrive in learning environments.

Volunteering

In the past year, I have volunteered at various organizations in my community. I have volunteered at Headstart of Greater Dallas, a recycling organization on campus, Baylor Scott & White Hospital, & the Sachse Public Library. I have completed over 200 hours of community service since August 2015.

Club/Recreational Volleyball

I have been playing volleyball since I was 12 years old. In the past 5 years, I have played both club and recreational volleyball. I used to play for two clubs called Summit Nitro & Dallas Starlings, but now I play volleyball at Plano Sports Authority. I am also a volleyball referee and scorekeeper.

Senior Capstone and Photoshop

Senior Capstone is a class that requires students to figure out a problem in their community (preferably relating to chosen career), then develop a solution or end product. Intro to Digital Media incorporates programs like Adobe Photoshop, Premier Pro, and other digital medias into the curriculum.

Clubs at Sachse High School

While at Sachse High School, I was a part of Key Club, Health Occupations Students of America, and Student Council. All of these clubs involved volunteering in the community, so we would volunteer at festivals or in the school. I also learned how to measure blood pressure and learned CPR in HOSA.

Clubs at Richland College

I am currently the Vice-President of Women in Math and Science (WIMS), and the treasurer of RLC Health Professions Club. I am also an ACE mentor, and a part of the RCHS Prom Committee. Along with these clubs, I am also a member of Asian Student Association and the RLC Honors Student Organization.

Richland Collegiate High School Senior Mentor

I am currently a Richland Collegiate High School mentor. As a mentor, I help high school students with their classes and other problems they may face while at school. Over the summer, all of the mentors had to meet multiple times a week in order to prepare for the welcoming orientation, Duck Camp.

Spending Time with Friends and Family

During my free time, I am usually making memories with my friends and family. My family has always been there for me, and I am extremely thankful to have been raised in such a family oriented household. If I am not with my family, I am usually with my friends & embarking on new adventures.
