My Story

Hi, my name is Zach Bible. I'm 17 yrs old & go to Science Hill High School. I have a mother named Amy and she works at Regions. I have father named William and he works at Bank of Tennessee. I have a sister that's 21 and she is attending ETSU for nursing.

Basketball

Before I got to middle school, I played on a travel team called the Shooters and we would play in tournaments all the time. I love when basketball season starts because I can cheer on my team with my friends and family. My favorite teams are the Boston Celtics and the North Carolina Tar Heels.

Football

Before I got in high school, I used to play football all the time. I used to play for the Packers at the Boys & Girls Club when i was young. I like watching football on television with my family. My favorite football teams are the Dallas Cowboys, Tennessee Volunteers and North Carolina Tar Heels.

Informative & Persuasive Speech on Rooting

Drafted and edited two speeches covering what Rooting is and what is does to your Android device. I also stated why people shouldn't root their Android devices. I wanted my audience to understand what rooting is and also wanted them to know some of the consequences of rooting your Android Device.

Infographic

I did an Infographic on What eye contact is in different cultures in the world. I had information on the US, Asia, and Eastern Europe. I wanted to make it easy for the audience to understand what I was trying to say by pictures instead of speaking. A lot of people can understand pictures easier.

Communication Process

To describe each component of communication, we had to make a chart in Word that described each of the components of communication like the message, the sender, the receiver, the mode, the noise, and the response. We put it in a list so it would be neatly organized.

Netiquette/Social Media Ethics Poster

I used a program called Illustrator to design a poster on THINK. I wanted students to think before they post something harmful about other people on social media websites. T=true H=hurtful I=illegal N=necessary K=kind

Social Media Ad Campaign

My group made a PowerPoint on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest. We described with great detail what each of the social websites do and we also explained how to use them. We were trying to discover the best social media websites for teachers to use so they could quiz there students.

Occupational Research

We were to look up jobs that interested us and we could either use Jobs4TN or BLS.gov. We were to pick out 4 jobs and fill out the questions to each job in complete sentence. This helped me because it got me more familiar with some jobs i didn't know about.

Photo Editing

We had to use a program called PhotoShop to edit a old picture and so we could get familiar with the program. We could either choose from the pictures Ms Salyer gave us or we could bring in some pics from home.

Resume

We had to make a resume in class that says a little bit about what we wanna do after we get out of high school. We had to make it with great design to catch the readers eyes. You usually have to feel them out when you go in for a interview or feeling out a job application.

Balance Webinar

We had to make a webinar in PowerPoint on Balance. We had to describe each types of balance and provide pictures that went along with the text. We had to listen and watch each others PowerPoints and write some strengths and weaknesses.

Electronnic Communication Tools

We had to write an essay in Word and we had to pick some communication tools and describe what they were and how they worked. For the essay we had to pick the one that you thought was the best and explain why you picked it and you also had to choose which one was the worst and explain why it bad.

CTE Program of Study

We had to make a infograhic in InDesign for a class in the CTE building. We had to create and make our own design for all the information we were given by the teacher. The one I had to do was Culinary Arts. Some of the classes didn't require a lot of information.

Job Interview Questions

We were to pick 10 out of 25 interview questions and answer them in complete sentences. When I was answering them, i answered how I would if i was actually getting asked the question in a real life situtation.

Website Critique

You had to pick a partner and we had to critique the JeopardyApp by explaining what we thought was good about it and what we thought was bad about it and we also had to give some recommendations.

Circle Time

All of my classmates would get in a circle and we would discuss some interesting things about the upcoming topic and we would help our peers on finding a topic to research about. We have done in multiple times.

Job Application

We were to completely fill out a job application like if we were filling one out for a job. This is the 2nd job application I've filled out in my high school career. We had to know what college we are attending also.
